To secure our nation's future, we are seeking exceptional recent graduates to join the NNSA Ignition Program--a premier, structured two-year federal early-career developmental initiative designed to cultivate the next general of leadership across the Nuclear Security Enterprise.Salary Clarification: Selectee's with a Bachelor's Degree with Superior Academic Achievement will start at the GS-7/6 + locality for the duty station selected. Offers will range from $58,871-$73,596. Selectee's with a Master's Degree will start at the GS-9 + locality for the duty station selected. Offers will range from: $61,722-$77,161. As a General Engineer/Physical Scientist you will: Design, analyze, build, and test weapons, machines, systems, structures, components, equipment, and materials to fulfill Nuclear Security Enterprise objectives andrequirements. Evaluate, oversee, direct, or advise contracted work to ensure quality and compliance with plans, designs, and specifications. Monitor NNSA project operations, performance, and quality assurance advising about NNSA policies and regulations. Participate in NNSA program or project information planning sessions, phase, milestone, and final project reviews and maintain productive interaction with staff; Technically direct, oversee, organize, or act as principal contributors for program segments, on team-based projects and prepare, present, and evaluate plans, designs, reports, and correspondence.
