As an HR Business Partner on the People team, you'll partner with one or more functional leadership teams to translate business strategy into people and org strategy. You'll own the full HRBP lifecycle for your client groups, from org design and performance management to employee development and retention, using data and sound judgment to directly influence how Coinbase scales.
What you’ll do:
- Own people programs and strategies for your client group, including performance management, compensation, talent development, engagement, and retention
- Partner with functional leaders on org design, workforce planning, and people strategies that support business objectives at scale
- Lead coaching and counsel for leaders on professional development, career pathing, leveling, change management, and sensitive people situations
- Drive data-informed people insights by analyzing trends and translating them into actionable recommendations for leadership
- Build and apply HR policies with an eye toward compliance and risk reduction, managing employee relations issues across global teams
- Strengthen cross-functional partnerships across People Team COEs to ensure cohesive delivery of people programs
Required Skills and Experience:
- 8+ years in Talent Management, Organizational Effectiveness, Recruiting Leadership, Talent Strategy & Operations, Consulting, Chief of Staff, or HR, with direct experience advising senior leaders on org and people strategy
- Proven track record navigating complex stakeholder situations with sound judgment, including performance issues, restructures, and sensitive employee matters
- Experience using people data (engagement surveys, attrition metrics, performance trends) to build recommendations and influence leadership decisions
- Track record of designing and executing people programs end-to-end (e.g., performance cycles, talent reviews, org redesigns) with measurable business outcomes
- High integrity and discretion when handling confidential information across all levels of the organization
