Bureau of the Fiscal ServiceThis position is located at Bureau of the Fiscal Service, Office of the Chief Data Officer. As an IT Specialist (DATAMGT), you will be implementing the Bureau's data strategy, which includes expanding its Fiscal Data Hub. The Fiscal Data Hub offers a cloud-native sandbox environment backed by Databricks and AWS designed for exploring, integrating, and predictive modeling on billions of structured records.

The next phase it will take one hour, at a minimum, to complete. The following are the duties of this position at the GS-13. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties and will receive training to help you grow in this position. Serve as a seasoned data engineer responsible for developing data ETL pipelines in Python and Spark. Craft data storage and processing solutions using structured query language (SQL), unstructured query language (NoSQL), and/or commercial cloud services. Catalog metadata and create automated data quality and integrity checks. Create and advise on software templates and standards to be used by other offices for their migration to cloud infrastructure. Receive, evaluate and responds to user requests for special purpose reports drawn from various databases.
