IT Team Manager (DevOps) (m/f/x)
PPGAs IT Manager, you will define and architect the deployment, automation, and management of our cloud applications portfolio and infrastructure. The DevOps team works closely with platform engineering teams, infrastructure architects, product owners, and stakeholders to establish and maintain efficient CI/CD pipelines, deployments. Supports the DevOps team with scripting and automating all environments, software deployments, and it's supporting infrastructure.
This is a fully remote role with flexibility to be located in Poland, the Czech Republic, or Spain.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead a global team of fifteen DevOps engineers distributed over different geographies towards the success of different initiatives.
Develop and implement the DevOps and DevSecOps strategies, aligning it with the company's goals and objectives.
Establish and maintain best practices for infrastructure automation, continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD), monitoring, and release management.
Implement a Community of Practices (CoP), evangelizing the best practices in different DevOps topics, such as deployment methods, branching strategies, etc.
Drive automation initiatives to streamline operational tasks, including infrastructure provisioning, release notes, configuration management, and deployment processes.
Implement and ensure DevOps metrics are met.
Implement strategy to reduce technical backlog.
Ensure DevOps guidelines are up-to-date.
Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation. Proactively propose and implement innovative solutions to optimize software delivery and deployment.
Participate in recruitment of IT support personnel.
Compliance with regulatory requirements, Security policies, and SOX related activities
Schedule personnel job duties to provide the necessary coverage.
Organize verbal and written ideas clearly and use an appropriate business style.
Provide regular updates to appropriate managers.
Assure that procedures and work instructions are efficient and not redundant.
Demonstrate a commitment to customer service; anticipate, meet, and exceed expectations by solving problems quickly and effectively, making customer issues a priority.
Confer with reporting manager on complex or unusual situations.
