
Supervisory Program Analyst
Federal Emergency Management AgencyThe ideal candidate for this position excels in advanced analytic and program analysis methods, enabling comprehensive evaluation of complex programs, policies, and operations, and the development of high-impact, decision-focused analytic products.What will I do in this position if hired? In this position, you will oversee a branch within the Enterprise Analytics Division of the Office of Policy and Program Analysis. Typical assignments include: Leading the branch's enterprise analytics portfolio and development of cross cutting data products (e.g., analytic datasets, dashboards, recurring analytics reports) that support FEMA mission outcomes. Advancing evidence-based, data informed decision-making by supporting FEMA's implementation of the Evidence Act and delivering analytic and evidence products that address priority Agency questions. Translating business and mission needs into structured analytics problems and technicalrequirements and working with agency information technology teams to ensure platforms and tools support those needs. Providing technical leadership on analytics methods, data preparation, and data visualization, and review branch analytic products for methodological soundness and decision-focused clarity. What else do I need to know? At FEMA, our mission is to help people before, during and after disasters, and every employee at FEMA has a role in emergency management. Every FEMA employee has regular and recurring emergency managementresponsibilities, though not every position requires routine deployment to disaster sites. All positions are subject to recall around the clock for emergency management operations, which may require irregular work hours, work at locations other than the official duty station, and may include duties other than those specified in the employee's official position description. Travelrequirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites with physically austere and operationally challenging conditions.
